Chemotherapy: The Moment I Realized What It Really Meant

The first time I heard the word chemotherapy,
I didn’t even know what it was.
I thought it was the same thing as radiation.
I nodded in the doctor’s office… not realizing what I was agreeing to.
It wasn’t until I went home—opened my laptop, and googled it—that I realized what chemotherapy actually is.
A medicine they put into your system.
And I thought—wait… that means it travels everywhere.
Through the blood. To every organ. Even the brain.
I felt the anxiety surge.
WTF is this? I red the side effects.
Five pages long. Heart issues. Vascular disease. Risk of more cancer.
I was shocked. I didn’t understand. And no one really explained. But what is the choice?
Here's the truth most people don’t talk about: You have this one appointment.
The doctor talks.
You listen. You’re scared. You nod. Then you’re sent home.
Alone.
With questions.
With Google.
With fear.
No one checks if you really understand. And you cannot really understand. No one helps you to feel safe, to nourish, to center, to dive within.
That gap? That’s why I started Holistic Path.
Because healing isn’t just medical. It’s emotional. It’s human. It’s sacred.
And no one should walk it feeling lost and afraid.
If you’re in this place now—wondering what’s happening, feeling that fear—I see you.
You’re not crazy. You’re not alone. You’re just awakening!
